Auth

Applications

Creating, naming and understanding what is permanent.

Creating an application

Console → Auth → Applications → New application. Three fields:

  • Display name — shown in the console and on hosted screens. Changeable any time.
  • Tenant — the slug. Lowercase letters, digits and single underscores; the console suggests one from the name. Permanent.
  • Starting environment — usually test. Add live later from the application’s environment switcher without repeating setup.

Why the tenant cannot change

Other services key live data on the tenant: the mail engine owns sender lanes by it, the vault derives per-user namespaces from it, and the identity engine scopes users with it. Renaming would orphan data in places DevSewa cannot reach. Test and live remain separate environment records under that permanent tenant, and the console switcher selects which one you are managing.

Deleting an application

Self-service deletion is not available yet. Revoke all keys to disable an application immediately, and write to support to remove it.
