Providers and routing

Add a provider account, then tell the router when to use it.

Add a provider

  1. 1

    Open SMS → Providers

    Pick the application, then the provider from the catalogue. Required fields are marked; secret fields are never echoed back.
  2. 2

    Save

    The router validates the shape and reports anything still missing as missing_required. Sends stay disabled until nothing is missing.
  3. 3

    Enable

    Turn on send and, if the provider supports it, verify. You can keep a provider configured but disabled.

Routing policy

A policy is keyed by operation and country prefix. The most specific prefix wins. With fallback allowed, a failed send moves to the next enabled provider; with it off, the failure is returned to you.

PUT /v1/applications/{id}/sms/routing
{
  "operation": "send",
  "country_prefix": "+977",
  "primary_provider": "smsnepal",
  "allow_fallback": true,
  "max_cost_send": 2.5
}
